Kind of following in Steve's footsteps. I liked his idea of the 'aged look'. This was about 80 minutes of boredom for me as I sit and contemplated... stuff. I also needed a break from the commission I'm working on lol.
Since some of us are always interested in tools we use and process... 5x7 bristol - 2H pencil, Microns, Two copic Markers and a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, oh and a white colored pencil.
Hope you guys enjoy!
REALLY well done, Jon!
ReplyDeleteLove the color and style!
Great! Excellent use of markers.
ReplyDelete... lovely effort!
ReplyDeleteLol...looks like you and I were working on the same concept. Nicely done! I think we have the beginnings of a portfolio here.
ReplyDeleteAH SANK YOU! I had a bit of 'fun' you could say. I was going to greytone this but decided I would not be able to do the overlay of 'oriental' E34 for us copic users. It would have hide a lot of the greytone, so I used some colored pencil (forgot I used a tuscan red and black for shading)
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys like it too.
Steve - lol I was channeling you, sorry. There's your reason you were tossing and turning earlier. I have to agree though... and I thank you immensely!
Good stuff, Jon.
ReplyDeleteIf Tony Stark were a samurai...
AWESOME! You even got the character of sumi ink down. Wonderful piece Jon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys!
ReplyDeleteVery cool stuff, reminds me of Sanford Greene's recent work (and that's a compliment of the highest order).
ReplyDeleteniiiiiiice!
ReplyDeleteWow, do this in 80 minutes ... The veterans're made of good wood, yes sir. I working in fits and starts :-S
ReplyDeleteAn outstanding job, Jon!
Oh man... These are all so good!
ReplyDeleteWow Sanford Greene eh? Dang man. Thanks for the props!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are just too darned nice! Thank you. I'm glad I could somewhat impress ya with at least one of these lol. I don't promise anything after this though. ;)
Great job! Nice tight renderings, very professional looking.
ReplyDeleteWhen this is what you do for a living, I'm glad that my 80 minute sketch is still strong enough to show some professionalism. Thanks Guys.
ReplyDeleteNICE WORK!!!
