Not intentional, posting late. The day after my birthday hopefully was not a sign of the year to come. I had nothing but tech problems with my ipad and laptop. And I haven't received materials for a gig that's due in two months and getting rather nervous.
So, I started on this three days ago, via pencil and paper. I then changed to watercolor (Scott still holds the title on that medium, me thinks) And when that wasn't going the way I wanted, (and I finally got my ipad working) I went to digital and this is what I came up with. People are telling me I should try other programs on ipad for art, but to be honest... I don't have the extra cash to blow on something like that. So, I'll use sketchbook pro and just try to improve when I can.
This was done as lineart, scanned in, and mailed to my ipad. I then started coloring on it and within a few hours, this is what I got... not happy with it, but it gets the job done. Now, on to my zombie mall piece I've been meaning to finish before A Halloween holiday.
Looks great, man.
ReplyDeleteAs for watercolors...you remember how much that samurai sucked?
Come on. I'm sure your watercolors kicked the crap out of mine. Stick with it.
Tarzan: The Animated Series lives!
ReplyDeleteThat is one mysterious scene -I wanna know what's going on.
Love the rock formation and its colour variation.
Is that La of Opar butt naked up there?
Fun pic, Jon.
Thanks guys.
ReplyDeleteScott - I don't know man. Your WC's are pretty tight, even with the samurai. I'll try to post some WC's eventually lol.
Arch - Thanks man. We'll just say it's La of Opar lol
Just what Archangel said... this looks like a screen cap for a great animate series!
ReplyDeleteYou guys make me feel honored and proud. Thank you. Lot of times I look at my work and hope for something like what you guys have said, to come through for me... however I don't always see it. You guys just gave me a jolt of confidence that I've been lacking. So I thank you immensely.
